Default FI in my 04 350z automatic

Hi to everyone in the forum im new. I wanted to know if i can safely upgrade to FI on my AT without running risks of blowing my engine or tranny. Ive heard that some turbokits like the turbonetics is not compatible with automatic trannys. Also people have told me that the AT will not hold for long even on stock boost. Please if u know any upgrades for the AT or what would be better a turbo or supercharger reply i would really appreciate.

Thanks

First, not to be an *******, but search.
Second to answer your questions, yes all kits works on 5AT. I would recommend Valve body upgrade, and possibly a tranny cooler, and a torque converter. These 3 things would get you there safely, and put more power to the wheels as well. (Also gives your shifting through gears in tiptronics ALOT faster.)
www.sgpracing.com to find all that i think.

But even without those upgrades, iam pretty sure you would do fine at stock boost.
It wouldnt matter for Turbo or Supercharger, just get what you like. I would prefer the Turbo just more funner .

We have done prob 3-4 G35/350z Vortech installs with automatics and never seen a problem with the trannys they seem to hold up very well even with power adders

Turbonetics recently finished the R&D and install on the 5AT Z and so far it has held up ok. I think they plan to do a valve body upgrade soon. They have the flash set so it wont bounce off the rev limiter anymore like some of the other kits.

Do some research on what each kit contains (look in the Forced Induction section and look at the thread: Turbocharger FAQ and Supercharger FAQ).

Performance Motorsports makes a TQ converter, they have the fastest 350Z with a VQ35DE, so I trust them more than any other shop.

WOW! How many times can one person ask the same question is my question...lol!

Seriously though, I have the Stillen Stage II Supercharger for like 3 months now and NO problems with the tranny whatsoever... I just added the Stage III pully about 4 days ago so give me a month or two and i'll let you know if the added boost kills anything.... Let's hope not!
