I wanted to make sure you were talking about the Single Turbo, and not the Twin as the TT has been out since October of 2004, and I've had mine installed and running since November.

As far the as the single goes, yes the kit itself is new to market, however it's essentially based on the same design as the Twin, and therefore it's not "as new" as most would think.

APS has done extensive R&D on this product for the 350 and G35 and I believe the product absolutely the best out there due to components used and design of the application vs some kits out there being a mixture of pre-existing product and some quick customization to make it fit/work into these cars.

What is important to keep in mind, in regards to reliability, is the installation and tuning, and this would be for ANY product out there. My car is not only my daily transportation, but it gets to/from my clients, and I am going to be hard pressed to explain to my clients "I can't make it because my motor blew up because of something I did to it".

I chose the APS kit after 9 months of researching kits and shops, and decided to use Brainstorm for installation after considering several other shops based on my interaction with the shops, filtering out rumors and other BS, and got down to a owners of the kits and experiences with their shops.

That is where the majority of your concern should be as any kit out there with a recognizable name behind it should be "ok", but the product is only going to do what it's setup to do and that is good or bad.
