Drive fairly tight figure 8's for first 45-120 minutes of operation.( depending on source)

Thats what we all do in the 240sx community with Nismo LSD's and its recommended for clutch type LSD ( withn one recent exception I heard about).

Some LSD's need no break in but Nismo LSD's do.

Dont driven straight for any distance after install until driven in.

Fred..

I just have my Nismo LSD installed today, my friend and I broke it in with doing figure 8s for 30 mins in some industrial area, we both felt very dizzy afterwards. The noise was slightly more quiet now, but I have it at the most aggressive setting, so it LOUD and you hear the chattering noise everytime u make a turn. However, now my Z is more tail happy and I can have some nice driftin action at the freeway off ramp.

curious what driving in circles will do to break it in, IF YOU DON'T CHANGE THE OIL RIGHT AFTERWARDS! you will seat the clutches, but if you do this please change your rear oil right after you do it. all the disk material you ground off is now in the pumpkin. usually normal driving and 1500 miles is how it is done, with an oil change after that.
