Default Thread disappearing?

I posted a message in this forum about the install of the APS TT kit in my G35 at the beginning of the week, but it seemed to have vanished. ???? What's going on? It was titled "My car is out" or something...

did the forum crash recently? Maybe they had to revert back to a database backup that was before that thread?

CONSPIRACY!

It's the same for me. I'm using other forums more and more now. I'm sure we're not the only ones. This site will loose traffic if it continues. It's really too bad, but that's the result of all this BS I guess...

Later,

I visit bought sites and I saw that thread on the other board but never recall seeing it here. I doubt it was deleted......just look at how many other APS threads are active. If yours was deleted the others would have been deleted as well.

if he clicks on his own name and selects "find other posts by Madelinot" it will be real clear if it is there or not.

Later,

Really, I think that the mods understand that people who care about APS turbo kits are .0001% of the membership here and could care less.

I visit both boards, the other for content and this one just for the sheer volume of users. I mean I sold my Kinetix cats in less than 1 day here, something you cannot do on other boards. That's why I don't ***** too much anymore b/c both boards have their advantages.

Deleting your thread, if it did happen, is kind of ****ed up though. Your pics and info are above and beyond what anybody else has done, and really helped me see how things go together outside of the instructions. Your thread would have helped anyone interested in FI! BTW, I hate to sound greedy, but do you have pics of the rest of the install, or that was the whole thing?

Yes it will be clear if it is there or not, but not if it was deleted or never posted. I don't know about you but I have on several occassions hit the submit reply button to reply on a thread or to make a new thread and nothing happened, all the while I thought the post went through. Did you view the thread nis350ztt posted? Why would they delete one APS thread and leave up another 300 or so APS threads?

i think pondering the logic of this forum would just make my brain hurt. I have never had the problem where i click submit and nothing happens. I gues my point is that this used to be my one stop forum for just about everything. Occasionally i would check g35driver for things like lighting. Now, I have to go other places to find very informative posts like that which was created by Madelinot.

So blame madelinot? I don't know what to say. You can't force people to post their threads on every forum. I just checked the modcp and the only threads deleted from this section are g356gear's, the title of the thread is "deleted" (it doesn't give you a link to see the threads there). Unless someone deleted it and then sent it to modcp, then deleted it from there...

Look at this thread. 8 plus pages of APS info. Why haven't those been deleted?

And before I get flamed to hell, I was just wondering why one thread would be deleted and all the rest be left untouched. I wasn't asking when those would be deleted.

Whatever... I didn't want to start a war... I'm glad it can help someone, that's why I'm posting. I have some more pictures that I need to unload off my camera. I will also take some more this coming weekend, they'll be posted at the same location.

Cheers,

i was not trying to blame anyone. all i am saying is i appreciate madelinot's contribution on the other board. If he tried to contribute that info here and it WAS deleted that is a shame. It appears that it was not deleted so no worrys.

Hey guys,
I'm no admin or anything, so I can't say for sure, but I know that a) the site had a hiccup a few days ago that might have caused this, and b) there is no practice here to delete threads sharing information about the APS TT kit.

I've had the same thing happen to me where I would submit a post and it would never show up, so I'd have to re-submit, but I've never heard of active, responded-to threads going bye bye. That's really strange. If you're concerned about it, I'd like to suggest that you send a (polite) email to Kyle and ask him to look into it. He's really a pretty cool guy and has done a great job with the site, especially considering where it was 6 or 8 months ago.
