Default Info needed to dyno

I am sneaking over to the dyno tomorrow and I was wondering what info I needed in order to do it. I am not sure what type of dyno it is. So do I need my rear end gearing? Like 4.10. And what gear do I need to do the pull in? I have a six speed. Any and all the info I need would be apreciated! Thanks

You should dyno in 5th gear, and turn off TCS or VDC if you have anything other than a base model. Thats it, dont need to know your rear end gearing. Im assuming your getting a baseline on your ST kit? If so what I would do is have the shop make the 1st pull in 3rd gear-the hp numbers will be off but the dyno will go by much quicker, and this was you can get an a/f baseline-if your lean chances are it wont blow with a quick pull like 3rd, but if you were to drag out 5th who knows. Then after making sure your a/f is correct then dyno in 5th. Good luck and post your #'s...

It does not matter what gear you dyno the vehicle in as long as it's a load based dyno. Inertia dyno use one of the higher gears.

Which shop are you taking your car too?

Might help to read the dyno comparison thread at the top of the page, it's stickied.

The 3rd gear idea sounds like a good idea. I might do it but I have ringed my car out before on the road with no problems so I may not do it. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that I make 360whp. Anything above that will just make my smile BIGGER!! Thanks
