Default FI vs. NX kit

Im still up in the air between the two kits, though i know im def doing one. The questions im weighing are overall safety and best bang for the buck. #1 priority is safety though. Its between the NX wet kit probably at 75 shot with all the minimals installed vs. the vortech s/c at like 7 or 8 psi. I can get a 1 year warranty for the vortech from the place installing it. Money is an option but overall safety is more important. I dont race my car a lot its just for once in a while probably only a few times a month; therefore, nitrous would only be used once in a while. The s/c on the other hand would be used constantly b/c it is belt driven? , this is why i think the nx might be ok. The other issue is that this is a daily driver in new york where it gets icey in the winter and has a fairly long winter. The vortech + install and tuning + warranty is probably going to run around $6000 give or take a little. Im not sure about the nx kit +install but im pretty sure it should be under 1 grand. Basically, i want people to sway me one way or the other. POint out the positives and negatives of each and which direction am i better off going. Keep in mind money is an issue but safety is essential.

I personally do not like NX in general unless you are just a pure drag car and going for some lower #s... I would get the vortech so you have constant power at your fingertips, or should i say foot. And if you are that worried about something happening with the Vortech SC, which only thing i can think of is belts freezing? Just take off the belts for winter time and run N/A.

yeah, thanks for the replys so far guys, keep them coming. I would like to pay for this all out of pocket. So i can either do the NX kit now, or the supercharger in the spring. WHat do you guys think? ALso which one has less maintence.

N/X can give alot of power, but there are many negatives. No matter what shot, it can be a little unpredictable sometimes. Also re-filling would just get on my nerves, and costly over time. Oh and there are stigma's attached to N/X, you can thank the F&F movies for that LOL.

Vortech, more predictable and many people have this kit. So that is a very good thing, and unlike a turbo you don't have to worry as much. Easy to maintain if installed correctly and can be re-tuned which is also good.

Many people have been able to make great numbers from that kit.

S/C more safe and cooler IMO than N/X for clear reasons.
