Anyone dynamat their hood to reduce SC whine?
I'm wondering for those of you with superchargers, have you made any mods to the hood or the firewall to quiet down the cabin?. Ive heard of the b-quiet hood liner but not sure if it makes any substantial differences.
anyone?

I used to be a turbo guy, so the SC is new to me. Its pretty loud when pushing it, louder than I would prefer. I love the sound of the VQ, and its hard to hear her screaming cause the supercharger overbears everything else including the exhaust. If I am able to tone it down somewhat using a hood liner then thats what i'll do. It will still scream outside of the car which I don't mind.
And no, its not like getting subs then turning them down. I bought the SC for the power not the sound.

How well does this little device work at quieting the whine? K&N Filter
My only concerns are waking up and leaving for work at 5am with my G parked in the garage. Will the whine wake up the little ones?

Hey Neff,
I have the Stillen SC not the Vortech. The Vortech was audible all the time, the stillen screams only when punching it. I've heard that if you put the little K&N filter on the Vortech it does quiet it down significantly. I think its just a matter of getting used to the sound. I've only had it for 2 days now and its starting to grow on me...
