Thanks thats only boosting 9lbs Ted said my car was boosting 12lbs when he first took it out and it was like a rocket. I guess my air flow with all the parts I have is soo good he said my car wanted to boost 12lbs out of the box... he had to turn it down to 9.... this is my daily driver.... I wonder what the #s were at 12lbs prob 500hp to the wheels god damm...

i have this feeling that we're going to see some blown up engines in a few months from now with all these people lately putting down 450+whp on stock engines

Hey, are you going to join us for the Fremont BBQ tomorrow? Look for the thread under NorCal for details.

Ha Ha! That's exactly what people said when we started making more than 400rwhp. With a solid tune you can run alot more power than people think. Almost all engine failures have had a operator related issue i.e. lack of correct tuning or running more boost than they had a tune for. Very few if any blown motors on here were from a clean overload of power.

Ronnie you bastard Ted said you took my dyno sheet....post it on this thread if you can...if not I'll post on mon when Ted faxs it to me...My engine is fine the only reason engines are blowing is because of detonation due to poor a/f ratios and mine is perfect...I'm making so much more hp due to cams, plenum... ect.... now it I was running 12lbs of boost or more then I'd worry about blowing up...and even at 12lbs if my a/f was fine I'd feel confortable....

I wouldn't be worried about the hp so much

I'd be worried about the ECU deciding to advance timing all on it's own

people say the VG30's rods are very similar to the VQ35's rods so they must be decently strong as long as there's absolutely no detonation. But who knows, so far that's always the thing to go

Lots of knowledgable people had "perfect" tunes with FI and still blew up their engine

but anyway, congrats on the huge power

Bri - I was comparing your dyno to my dyno (5AT vs 6MT) at the shop, but I dont have it. They are quite similar (making about 435bhp at 6000 rpms), but my wheels / trans was slipping on the dyno after 6000rpm. Congrats on the 469!

Next wed at infineon Raceway in Sonoma. A bunch of FI'd Z's are heading up there. It'd be nice to get all the APS guys to go to show these v8's whats up. APS really did a good job with this kit. I've put 14000 miles on. I beat on mine alot and its running fine. Congrats

Yeah, Teds cool guy. About 4 weeks ago, I thought about shipping my car up there for the APS TT kit, he was even willing to pay to ship it back. Told me guaranteed 450+rwhp with their cams/exhaust set-up. I decided to go with something different, too many aps now.
