Going from memory (back when I had the Vortech), I had to loosen but not completely remove the supercharger bracket in order to fit the new pulley in.

I just did this last night.

It will make things easier to remove the top of the s/c piping coming out of the throttle body to the coupler behind the supercharger. Remove the bolt on the cog pulley (backside of the supercharger plate) and slide the cog pulley off. Remove the jackshaft bolt on the front of the 3.33 pulley and pull the pulley off while sliding the cog assembly back and forth to make room. The 3.33 belt comes off easily once you loosen the idler pulley and the tensioning bolt undernearth the car. Put the smaller pulley on, put the cog assembly back together and retighten the bolts down. Takes about 30 minutes barring you don't drop one of the shims down into the exposed intercooler pipe (read below).

Make sure that you do not drop the shims/keys (small thin metal pieces) behind the jackshaft bolt on both sides of the supercharger bracket, once the bolts are coming off the keys/shims will come with them, watch close for them

make sure to put some anti sieze on the shaft before you put the pulley back on . WIll be a pain to get off and you'll end up bending the chit out of the edges of the pulley getting it back off

I'm having some trouble taking the pulley off. I got the front bolt on the 3.33 pulley off but it's not coming off. Am I suppose to take the back bolt off too?

Is it not budging ? Or will it not come completely off because of the blower getting in the way ? If its the first , have fun !!!! Its a ***** to get off and you may end up buying another pulley to replace it . You have to slowly pry it off . Just keep at it . Just the one bolt is only needed to be off

Did you get the r4 ?
