Default Nismo Crankshaft

Does anyone know anymore about the Nismo crankshaft? I saw it listed here:

http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ine&prodid=918

Its some $$$ but if what it says is true that would awsome.

I remember seeing something on this a while back. It was not a stroker, so it seemed rather pointless since the stock crank has seen over 1000hp in race motors. You could also just go to Velasco or Sonny Bryant and get a custom crank that would be stronger for the same money or less.

The larger journals are nice but anything from NISMO is going to cost at least 50% more then their competitors.

I just noticed in the description that these are on a made to order basis. Most all the Japanese companies like HKS and Greddy have their cranks rods and pistons make here in California. HKS, for example, orders a $1000 set of Carrillo rods from California, puts them in an HKS box and charges you $2000. Sweet deal!

i order most of my parts for my rb project from a place called https://www.takakaira.co.jp/

i get pretty neat nismo parts for very reasonable amounts. it is cheaper to buy 740cc nismo injectors from japan and ship them over for your exact model of car than purchase the hks version or someone elses, and you KNOW that the nismo parts are going to work perfectly on your car. anyways, the crank is pretty freaking expensive, but if you do want nismo parts, you can order them from japan for very reasonable amounts. plus, japanese nismo parts are super cool. they sell pretty wacky stuff, like the 740cc injectors.

i wish nismo would make a standalone ecu for all their cars that you can purchase.

Nismo Japan is not just a tuner as the others companies you mention are, they are actual Nissan Motorsports so they make their own stuff from a need to supply actual Nismo and Nissan race cars across the world. They have access to all the Nissan parts and part manufacture with huge amounts of $$ make cool parts
