The DEI stuff is good too.

You may want to get some ties also.

I heat wrapped all mine. I used two packs of 2" x 50' wraps. The 1" wraps are too narrow for the pipings. It will take you forever if you use all 1".

I wouldn't wrap anything on the intake side of the turbo unless you're an "all go - no show" kind of person. The intake piping on this kit is beautiful and it would be a shame to cover it up unless you're all about the track. Wrap from the headers to the turbine inlet, and from the downpipe probably until it hits horizontal and you should be good.

With the tranny gone prolly a good 4-5 hours to remove and re-install the headers. If you can have the vehicle down for a while I would suggest sending them out for some JetHot coating. If not the header wrap will work just fine.

the wraps seem to reduce heat alot more than the coatings. you can darn near grab onto the headers with your hand while running if you get it on good. i used some copper wire to wrap around the whole pipes when i got done to make sure it would not loosen up and come off. also, when putting it on, get the wrap wet first. will make it easier to apply and will dry tighter. i used the 1" stuff for my greddy kit. the primaries are pretty short and needed the narrower stuff. wrapped the turbos and downpipes too.

I wrapped everything on the exhaust piping BESIDES the exhaust manifolds (they are high-temp coated). I did this with one roll of 2" x 50' graphite Thermo-Wrap header wrap.
