Using thicker head gaskets to lower compression on a stock internal??
Will it work?
I've seen other vehicles lower their compression using thicker head gaskets without building the internal. Will it work on the VQ? By using Cometic Gaskets. Havent heard anyone done it yet so was wondering.

A thicker head hasket will reduce the SCR ; however, it negatively effects the chamber's squish volume as desingned into the modern combustion chamber. Minimal squish volume provides superior knock tolerance. It is actually possible to reduce knock tolerance even when reducing SCR, if adequate squish is not accounted for. The recommended method for SCR reduction is are shallow dished pistons.
