Default Most Reliable Force Induction

I think Stillen supercharge stage 2 is the most reliable FI out there for Z. Stillen even gave me 36K miles warranty on the engine. I dont think any other FI out there is as reliable as Stillen and give warranty. On top of that, with stillen supercharge, you dont have to worry about dirty filters which sometimes are really difficult to replace.

Vortech supercharge would go second.

Thanks for the information. Isn't the supercharged Z a poor choice of vehicles in Alaska? Aren't there like 10 or a 11 days a year when there isn't snow on the ground?

Not much stress on your motor with only 300rwhp. So, additional $250 for warranty may not be worth it. Other kits would be just as reliable with only that much power. Not sure if its worth $6000 + hood for an additional 75 ponies to the wheels. I guess as long as your happy with it + peace of mind with having a warranty.

If you are worried about keeping your warranty and only getting 300whp, then just do all the NA bolt ons and get it tuned. Its possible to get very close to 300whp after tuning..

Isn't Stillen the only kit that hasn't blown up a motor? I realize that poor tuning can blow up any motor, but I haven't heard of a single case of the Stillen kit destroying an engine.

Yea...because like 2 people actually have that kit...

The FACT is...ANY forced induction kit for the Z carries with it the risk or damaging your motor. It's not the FI kit's fault. It's just the nature of modification. With a good install and tune, any of the FI kits should be reasonably safe.

I know of one Z that had the engine blown by the stillen kit. Stillen paid a nissan dealership to replace the engine.

Is it the one here https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125626&page=5 or another one?
