We've had some pretty good success with the Koyo's. No fitments issues whatsoever.

Koyo needs top mounting brackets fabricated and the fans and shroud need to be trimmed. For the extra $130 bucks I would recommend the PE radiator. The top brackets still need to be fabricated, but the fans or shroud do not need to be trimmed. Probably is that no one make a radiator for the G.

Look at where I am pointing for the custom brackets. The top mounts had to be moved toward the ends of the radiator a few inches. The scratches on the radiator are the original locations of the brackets.

GRD installed my koyo and it looks nothing like yours in the pics. mine looks like a direct replacement. Doesn't look like anything was trimmed or modified on my car. I will take some pics in the morning to show you.

Nothing on mine was trimmed. The only thing done was the top brackets so I don't know what you are referring to. The koyo and all other radiators are made for the Z only. If any modification for the Z has to be done it is only trimming of the fans and shroud. I read somewhere that there are two koyos. One is thicker than the other. You may have the thinner one of the two. Which is why they didn't have to trim anything. Most of the other guys with the koyo have to resort to triming the shroud and fans.

i was unaware that the G35 had a different radiator. I would have thought they were the same.

I am pretty sure I have the larger core koyo, as the other model for the Z is a newer model number:
V2577 1-7/16" (for limited space applications)

the other is the thicker core:
R2577 2-1/16" (for largest core size)

Pics of mine:
