Default turbonetics install pics

When ordering your parts make sure they acutally stock it! i know i should have asked before placing the order. anyways waited almost 2 months and my brake kit is still not in yet.

installed
turbonetics ST kit
greddy profec e-01
emanage blue
greddy boost,oil and fuel pressure
oil pressure adapter
b&m short shifter
jwt oil pan spacer
3in ebay exhaust
volk ce28n gunmetal 19x9.5 19x10.5 +22
stillen oil cooler going on this coming weekend.

on with the install. if they make any changes to the kit they should use v-clamps for downpipe1! they use v-clamp everywhere else!

you will need to get a set of ford fuel/ A/C line disconnects to remove the A/C line.

when drilling the fuel pump container thing; don't push to hard! i cracked mine in both places when drilling.

installed jwt oil pan spacer.

fuel pressure sensor

oil pressure sensor adapter. has extra parts to install temp and aftermarket gauges.

blocked off the wastegate discharge on downpipe1 and flipped the wastegate 180deg; vented to atmosphere.

Haha noice folk, along with what you have suggested... I also think the flanges should have more spacing so I can easily place my sockets (or open wrench on them if needed), along with providing more heat/thermal wrap

Mad props for doing your own install. Thumbs up!

I see that you are in Pasadena. Pretty close to me. I will be looking out for your turboed Z.

There are acouple things that irk me about the kit since im almost complete with mine 1 more hour worth of work

1. WG location sucks tuff area to work in but hey it works also way to close to frame

2. TN needs to provide oring gasket for the intank fuel pump the stock one increases in size when it gets exposed. will not fit back properly for gas tank seal

3. There shoulda been a vband clamping on the DP and turbo!!!! its everywhere else

4. cant really think of anything else its a great kit. what shocked me is how they can mass produce without a single pipe getting made wrong. its such a tight fit it was BALLZ on for location fitting

Btw nice install pasadena huh and installing the kit at the same time as me. not to far we should do a final install celebration ! what do you have left on yours? i just need to install pasanger side intercooler pipeing and possibly final lookover

thanks guys.

i finished install about 2 weeks ago. been running great. i live in glendale and go to school in rancho, hahaa

they should include a bit more heat wrap. i used some left over heat wrap and exhaust wrap from my old projects.

about the stillen cooler. you would be better off putting together your own kit. stillens adapter does not have a thermostat. you can get a mocal for about $90 or so.
as for mounting it. i don't want to cut the side of the bumper or get rid of the windshield washer tank. so i might put it on top of the bumper support and cut a hole there.
i will see this weekend. will be installing the cooler and a fan. i noticed that the fan does not stay on when the engine is turned off, no matter how hot it is. i have a spare turbo timer to control it. should help bring down engine bay temps when i park.

more pics of interior:

it is pretty loud with the wastegate vented. my exhaust is not as loud as the wastegate.. hahaa.

Any way you can post a quick video, Id like to hear it.

when drilling the fuel pump container thing; don't push to hard! i cracked mine in both places when drilling
No problems will arise from this? Did you buy the tapped JWT spacer or did you tap it and place the fitting on? If you bought the tapped one did you need any other fittings to mate it to the line T-netics provides you?

i tapped the JWt spacer with the supplied turbonetics 3/8 tap. i forgot the drill bit size..

the fuel rail had to be tapped as well. i messed up when tapping it. didn't go in straight. and used a drill bit to small.

i'll try and get a vid this weekend.

wastegate was filpped 180 deg. it can only go on 2 ways. here is a pic. not to clear.

it is kind of pointing towards the oil pan.

i hope your wastegate isn't pointed directly to your oil return line. that looks very dangerous. i would add a dumptube so it'll point elsewhere.

Default Turbo Install

Sorry for only noticing the post until now, but I think I saw what appeared to be the original AC line wrapped in heat shield. I guess you chose not to remove the AC line??? Aren't you taking a major risk of causing an AC leak due to the heat given off by the Turbo possibly burning a hole in the line???
