Just found out the car is acually a Base Model not track. So the details are:

To get running need $3000 built short block Walbro 255 lph pump, tuning, labor
Total for that $5000+$17000 for the car= $22,000 for reliable ~$500 HP

BUT, what if the engine failure sent metal to the turbos, you would have to get them rebuilt, but that shouldnt be too expensive.

I have no idea what his boost setting was or who the owner had it tuned by. A friends shop took it in as a trade (Dealership kind of thing)

 

Ahh I want this thing so bad.

 

How big of a hurry is he in to get rid of it? I'm almost wanting to buy this with my insurance settlement when I get it.

 

just FYI, dont forget to factor in cost of an LSD in there somewheres. that much built power to the wheel(s) will be rediculous.

 

No idea on how fast it needs to be sold....

OK I'm at the place where the car is and I can tell you exactly what the car has:

2004 Base Model 350Z Chrome Silver

Car has under 18,000 miles on it but the #6 rod is sticking out the block. Great project car for $17,000. Car needs to go by Monday.

 

Well I dunno whats up with this car. I told him I would buy it but he then said he wants 18k now cause he has other offers. He also said they might put a motor in it and sell it. He said he wouldnt know until monday if it was for sell.

did this car go through two motors and the owner blew the second the first week he had it??? is this a mossy car

 

Its not a "Mossy" car per say. The owner did blow two motors though. The first one he missed 4th and hit second at redline in 3rd...kaboom.
