I have the pro1 exhaust and am awaiting the install of my turbonetics kit for a resolution on this.

Or wait for the Newgen fittings to be done... FYI the NEwgen wastegate is a 50mm gate...
Any updates or timelines? I have put off installing the kit for a while due to this issue and the one jetpilot is having.

I wouldn't wait. This issue is sporadic and isn't happening on every aftermarket exhaust. If you DO have the issue, you can address it post-install, but if not, get to enjoying your kit. I seriously doubt Turbonetics is going to ship out modified pipes and NewGen gates to every customer whether they are having this issue or not.

I dunno if I would install it with the Pro-1. It seems to be asking for trouble to me - based on what others have seen and the last thing you want is to install the kit and have to go back and forth to the shop to resolve issues that can be avoided up front.

In any case, I'd sure like to hear something. I have been waiting for a solution and a 5psi spring for the evolution wastegate for weeks now (maybe longer). Originally, I called Reggie and he told me to email him to request the spring so I did. Then he told me that it wouldnt help and did not send the spring. I have emailed him several times asking for any updates and get no response.
I've been pretty patient with this issue but it would be nice to hear that something is happening (especially after what was proven with JETs car).

One thing we do know for sure is that IF you have this issue, an 5 PSI spring won't help because even if the gate opened at 1 pound, it just can't flow enough air anyway. Turbonetics IS working on a solution right now, though I don't know if I can say what it is yet.

I think MIA already told us what they were doing but I am starting to wonder whether anything is happening.

Stuff is happening, but there is some engineering and fabrication work involved. That is supposed to be happening this week.

Ditto, the problem that arises when working on this is determining if the current gate is good enough in a different position, a bigger gate will work in the current poistion, or it needs a bigger gate in a different location. Regardless of what solves it once the solution is determined a dump tube still needs to be made to route the dump back into the downpipe somewhere so everyone doest have to run it dumped to atmosphere. Thats easily 3-5 days of fab time and testing with a Topspeed exhaust bolted to the car. And as Kelly said they are working on it..

Seriously, was this even necessary...you know damn well why you posted. Stay in your own companies/ kits threads unless you have something to add honestly. Next time I start PM'ing moderators.
