Default APS TT 350z vs Stillen stage 2 G35 "VID"

Before you all watch this. I want to let you know I'm the G35 and I think That I get killed pretty bad here. But mrtomcat asked me to post this so I'll have to swallow my pride and show this. I actually asked him to race, wanted to see how I could keep up. Im still happy that I ran a 13.4 which isnt bad at all at this track. My fastest of the day was 13.3 with a 1.9 60 ft. He only beats me by 1 sec. So as you can see 1 sec is quite a bit in the 1/4 mile. mrtomcat also missed 4th gear in this video, so his time was a little slower than he could have run.

Nice looking track. Only thing I like about the Stillen is the s/c whine, besides that I havent seen one that can even trap higher than me with just bolt-ons.

pretty much. I could go stillen stage 3 and change my wheels to something similar to his and some other small mods like a z tube and I probably still wouldnt beat him. its amazing what 1 sec in 1320 is. learned a lot that day.
i'm sure a z with a stillen would have done better also. I am a little fat. I think a g can weigh as much as 400 lbs more.

what are the specs of the two cars?

whp?
weight?
mods?

for being a TT, 12.4 sec is dog slow for having all that power

IMO the G did pretty well considering it's like 150 lbs or whatever heavier than the Z and dramatically less torque and the stillen torque is all low and midrange - so shifting at redline the stillen G is going to not have anywhere close to the TT Z's torque and obviously power.

Stage 2 is still fairly mild - good boost, but the FI adds more weight to the front.

A full out NA Z with all normal bolt ons, cams, headers, flywheel, final drive, etc would be a little quicker than the stillen G

the thing is you cant beat everyone there is someone alway faster then you or has more money or time into it what matters is if your car is running good with no problems and it feels good to you. I had a turbo gsr integra that could smash alot of cars including my z but the Z feels so much better that i can care less.

I shouldnt have to defend him , but he was pretty unhappy with his time also. all his times that day were not near his fastest. and this track you can count on at least 1/2 sec with a sea level correction. there also another aps tt there that day and he wasn't having to much fun with his times either. but hey they sure were killing most cars there even extremly modified ones.
heres one more aps tt that ran that day.

I was chirpin them in every gear. I think my stock clutch is awesome. strong as you can expect for a stock clutch. I cant seem to stop the tire spin going into second and third. Even with the drag radials. I could probably shave a few 10ths off my time if I could learn how to shift without chirping the tires. Any advice please share the wisdom?
