While helping with the install of the Nissansource 350z installation we came to this step to relocate the cooler. I was like "Uhhhhhhh No" there is a better way to do this so as I back handed Mr Nissansource and told him to hold up and lets look at this a bit I came up with the sollution you see below. Enjoy hope this saves some people some time and the need to make a mess. Take Care All and Enjoy

This will save you about an hour and the need for new fluids and not to mention the mess it makes.

Hmm I dunno about attaching it to the airbag sensor.

When you put the bumper back on is the cooler going to be blocked or will it still get air from the opening? I would also be cautious about mounting it to the airbag sensor. It just doesn't seem like something I would want to mess with.

Why don't you just find a couple brackets and mount if to the bumper beam similar to the way the aps setups do?

take off the extended bracket on the sensor makes it so it will not hit. thats how i moded it

 

MIA btw you should see the Horrible pics of the internals of Reggies sr20 The damn thing was built litteraly with Chopsticks. 95% of the bolts on the car could be turned by hand. Im suprised it ran and the oil looked like the MILKYWAY

 

I just wouldnt want anything touching it. But hey its your car. You can also run the lines behind the IC and use a hole that is by the sensor to mount it with a bolt. This is what Ive done on two Vortech installs.

Reggie's engine is about 95% junked it is really unfortunate that happened to such a good guy "Reggie". Allot of stuff was installed wrong. I will post a link here of how & what I found wrong when I pulled the engine. The turbo was not tight on the manifold look at the pic the wire for the heat shield was in between turbo and manifold a bolt was missing from the wastegate, Broken spring in the tranny, This engine was making less then 20PSI at 5K RPM when I pulled it into the house.

I was doing some thinking and Yes I am bitter at the whole mossy ordeal and I do apologize to Greg for that comment I made, BS business transactions aside, I do value him as a friend and feel bad, Straight up no BS , I let my frustrations get the best of me and again I apologize to him.

 

Yes it still gets air there is about a 1/2 gap at the top of the core support. An airbag sensor is not affected by heat and its not mounted directly to it. I don't see it being a problem at all.

 

Aqua Mist. Quick,Easy and very effective, Turbonetics kits for the SE-R you could only run about 10PSI boost people who would use the aqua mist kits could run about 14-15PSI on the same pump gas without destination.

 

Damn ***** that car wsa TWACKED. Greg said when you pulled the heads there was so much play in the pistons you could grab them and jiggle them with your fingers. Someone f@cked that thing up good. It so sh!tty when things like that happen to people like REggie. he's such a good guy its sad to hear it. Well if anyone can get that SR20 better then new it would be shagspeed himself. BTW if ANYONE wants a quality built SR20 by THE SR20 GOD shagspeed is your man. Only guy I know with 400 FWHP DAILY in his B14.
