I will at the very least keep up on the front straights allowing me to pass in turn one cause WE ALL know those AP's on my car will out brake them EVERY TIME!!!!!!
Yes I know all to well the abilities of your AP Brakes in that car. Now with the turbo I can only imagine you are into a whole new learning curve on your car now. Not going to be the same beast you are used to muscling around a track, now you have to play the boost game. So how bout I give you this month to burn the rubber off your rear tires then you come over for a new set of skin on the 2nd or so ?

Definately. Maybe even longer. I think I just need to realize that I can't gun it in first and second.

Please keep those in the shop until I'm showing Nylon

My hat goes off to you USN HM 350Z for giving up your car after all that work you did to it. I know it must be hard and if I had to do it I'd be upset. But ofcourse, you're making the right decision. Good luck with the new member to the family. You have your priorities right. This bud's for you man.

John Y,

You could have traded me your car for my G35 Sedan or Escalade and some $$$ before you left. But - You didn't want to do the deal... Really, Your car is sick and we are very proud of it. Amazing that right after the street tune at JWT, dynoshop, and race with Tim you left for the East Coast. If you still want to do a deal, let me know.

Shame - Yet NO BS, your family comes first. Call me we can work something out. PM or email me man....

MA

Reading this thread makes me miss my Z . Last I saw it was with the engine hovering above the car on an engine hoist at VRT . Can't wait to get it back fellas. If Mike is raving about the power at 6psi I can't wait to drive my built motor car!!!! See all of you soon!

Dude, your car is gonna be a monster. I seriously don't know how much HP or Torque I am putting down as I have yet to Dyno the car (tomorrow) but I can't see having ant more useable power than this on the street. I mean I'm running 315-30/18 Michelin Pilot PS2's in the rear and They WILL NOT stick in 1 or 2nd. But I’m getting better at working the throttle. Not spinning quite as much now.

I tell you what, the difference between Supercharger HP and Turbo HP is NIGHT & DAY. It's a whole different ball game. I am completely having to re-learn how to drive my car. It’s gonna be quite a few “hot laps” at the track my first couple of times out.

The turbo kit has Soooo much more torque in the higher gears. With my S/C, I would lag a little in terms of acceleration after 3rd gear. This kit it burns through every gear at almost the same damn rate. The more you push it the harder it pushes you. It's amazing how f’ing fast your at 150mph. Reminds me of my CBR 900rr.

I WILL STILL SAY however, I miss the sound of that Eaton blower. The turbo's quiet down my exhaust substantially too so the whole sound of the car is WAY more quiet than it was, but there's not even a thought in my mind as to whether it's wroth it or not Actually it will probably keep me out of trouble … LOL.

Nice Mike. I can't wait to get it back on the track. I am sure I will have an even bigger learning curve since the last time I drove it on the track it had full interior and 246whp lol. Now its gutted and will have about double the power. Can't wait. You are right though. There is no match for the sound of the Stillen supercharger. One question...can you hear the turbos at all? Is there any blow off sound?

Well I remember the sound of the HKS vaulve on Michael's (VRT Owner) car and it sounded SICK! I'm not gonna put that on until down the road (for a very specific reason).

I posted a bunch of nw photos on my personal page including one of the new JWT kit. Just click the link in my Sig.

Also, notice the stock plenum, engine cover and strut tower. I've already ordered carbon fiber engine cover and strut tower, polished plenum, throttle body, and that Y tube you see in the front connecting the air filter. Also replacing all the red tubing with blue.

I CAN'T WAIT TO GET DYNO NUMBERS UP HERE FOR YOU GUYS!!!!

Sounds like you need to do some weight redistribution, put some force down on those huge tires

Wait, I don't get it?? The JWT doesn't come with a blowoff valve right? I thought they were using a bypass valve instead? Did you install a blowoff valve? If you're using the bypass, does it sound like a blowoff valve? Do you hear the air shooting out between shifts?
