Aps Vs. Greddy
OK I'm new to this forum, and a new 350z owner. I was curious as to which TT kit is better. I have had a few turbo cars and decided that the TT system would be better for my needs. Money is no matter to me (well as long as it isn;t obscene). As long as it is worth it. I've read the hype from both companies and was just curious what you guys and gals thought. Thanks for the info
Good luck I hope this doesn't turn into a flame fest. Search in the FI forum there is tons of info there. They are both good kits. The greddy needs a few extra things. The aps is ready out of the box. It depends on your goals. Both kits cost about the same. The aps being approimately $500 more.
Both kits are capable of serious hp numbers with a built motor..............
Greddy kit youll need to buy up some extra parts to complete the kit but this should only run you bout an extra 1k, Greddy TT 5500 w/ intercooler + 1k extra parts(for just the kit)= 6k, then the gauges what not another 1k + install of all 2-3k so full total about 8-9k
Aps(7k) comes with everything you need.......just have to buy gauges and stuff (1k) + install(2-3k)=9-10k
if you wanna go futher such as built in ternals do it same time as Turbo install

Without counting the gauges since they are same for both kits.
The APS is pretty much complete out of the box for 8-9 psi, to get it close to that with a Greddy you need a little more than 1k:
BOV 200.00
Fuel Pump 100.00
Boost controller 200.00 (500 if e01)
FPR 200.00
Manufacture & install of similar return to APS approx 200.00 (1000 if you go full return)
Tuning 200.00
Harness to get similar plug and play to APS and not cut up stock wiring 300.00
Ignition harness & diodes 25.00 (500 if you go J&S)
So as a ballpark you would need between 1100.00 and 2500.00 extra depending on how much you add to the Greddy kit.

Just from what Ive read here . The APS boost is designed to drop off some towards redline . To take it pass the 8psi , you'll need upgraded actuators and exhaust . Correct me if Im wrong please

IMO, APS is the best. fit and finish on APS is top notch. Unless you are going a full on build from the bottom end up, greddy isn't even comparable to APS.
Greddy is so much more tuner ready, which basically means to me, you have to (or get to..depending on how you look at it) find all the parts that westpack stated above. The APS kit is a complete setup out of box that has the capability of 500+ whp with basically exhaust and a tune
