Default 06 REVUP lower plenum, gains for FI?

Hey I have read that with the lower intake plenum on the 06 "REVUP" models, it solves the problem of air starvation to the front two cylinders which makes them run leaner. Anyways it is also suppose to add some horsepower. Just wondering how if anyone knows what gains this with Motordyne spacer should provide on a twin turbo car. Thanks again!

the revup lower plenum features shorter runners then the pre-05 and also a little bit more plenum displacement. It will compliment your spacer very well on the top end. With shorter runners you can always expect a mild torque loss on the bottom and midrange. however, these runners are not INSANELY shorter, they are actually still pretty long.

I think its a great mod for those reving up to and above 7000rpm. shorter runners will contribute quite a bit to higher RPM power, and with your plenum capacity increase with that spacer, it should be very nice.

if the front cylinders were actually starving from air, that would be making them richer, not leaner starving fuel makes leaner.

the stock plenum, especially with a spacer, has some pretty decent displacement for the HP that most boosted 350z/G35 are running around with. But as the HP starts to get crazy, you will start running into an airflow bias which causes uneven cylinder feed. I think you will have your bases covered with the spacer and this revup lower.

i dont know if i would bother with modifying it. Its a pretty smooth OEM part, with integrated partial velocity stacks. if you were going to do any mods to your intake manifold stuff, you could port match and taper port the runners and match to the cylinder heads... but thats a lot of work to do and typically reserved for a full build up.. the gains wouldnt be very noticable until running the engine to very high boost and very high power.

I am going to be running jwt spec cams with a fully built bottom end, going to be boosting in the 12-14psi range 9:1 compression, what do you think? just the lower plenum and spacer should be good for 15-20 hp under this much boost?
