Default GT3071R to APS manifolds

I am wondering if i can bolt on a GT3071R on the turbo APS manifold. If this can be done i think then the APS is the best option house kit on the market....what do you think?

No sir you can not do this, the GT3071R uses a T3 flange and the standard aps turbo kit uses a T25 flange. Not to mention the short length manifolds cause a very tight fit for the turbos. GT30/35/40 Series turbos use very large housings and the would not fit.

However, our twin turbo system can use GT30 or 35R turbos as pretty much a direct bolt-on with minor modifications.

We're going to be testing GT35R's in the months to come on an AEBS 4.3L motor.

iirc the gt3071r can be had in t2 flange.

HOWEVER! Why in God's name would you want to run such a large turbo on what is basically a bank of 1.75L displacement? You have any idea how long the spool would be on those?

Something like twin GT28RS (disco potato) turbos or GT2871Rs would be a lot more feasible, still pump out good power, and not be the laggiest things ya ever saw!

The GT3071R is a GT2871R with a T3 housing. The 2871 has a T25 exhaust and can support 400hp. I have no idea if it will physically fit in the car, but a pair of them would make nice power.

Thanks a lot about the informations all of you.I am really on a deadend because i want to buy a turbo kit but i need also to be tunable to next HP stages. Also i know that bigger turbos give better traction but less torque but bigger power levels. My opinion was to put on the gt3071r as garrett says are the same t25flange and give the best on iron made manifolds power.Thank you again

The GT3071R can be had in a T2 exhaust housing, using a .64 A/R on the turbine. It is a horribly mismatched turbo. Your best bet is to use the same compressor with the NS-111 wheel in a .86 A/R turbine. This is the GT2871R with the .86 A/R and the larger compressor housing. It will flow about 22lbs max on the exhaust side at a 2.2 PR. Good luck.
