Yours is already one of the best LOOKING Zs on the planet. Now it's going to be as fast as it is pretty! You going to run the turbo kit with stock internals? Does Florida have a UniChip tuner yet?
Happy boosting?

Good luck - you will like the power!!

Good choice on gauges. I would add a oil cooler since the APS turbos are cooled by it and the extra oil pan that comes with APS doesn't help. Oil Temp gauge is optional.

APS turbos are NOT cooled by the oil. they are water cooled and lubricated by the oil.

Oil temp or fuel pressure will be MUCH more useful than an EGT. The wideband will provide all the monitoring of lean conditions one will need. On top of that, I don't like tapping the exhaust manifolds for an egt - especially when it isn't needed.

The oil also provides cooling, as does the water.

Ziv, for tuning purpose, I can assure that an EGT is usefull, even if not plumbed into each cylinder bank. There are several scenarios where wideband AF can be perfectly safe, but EGT's dangerously hot.

Usually, I recommend EGT, unless someone is running a return fuel system with adjustable FPR...in which case I recommend a fuel pressure gauge.

Oil temps are a nice to have, unless you are road tracking your car.

Maximum, enjoy, and if you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask!

where are you tapping the EGT?

From experience, I probably watch my oil temp the most of any gauge. I watch it when I first take the car out and make sure the oil gets up to temp before I get into boost. On hot days, or if I get stuck in traffic I am watching it constantly. Also, in my situation, where I am so close to maxing out the aps fuel system I am watching my fuel pressure a lot. I am watching it under boost conditions to ensure the pressure continutes to rise at 1:1 with the boost.

Not in the same sense. It's main purpose is lubrication. it indirectly provides cooling, where as the water's main purpose is cooling

Japtrix in Palm Beach county is an APS dealer and a Unichip "tuner."
They did a great install on my APS TT about a month ago.

They are oil cooled as well. This is standard stuff. They are oil and water cooled. Of course the water exclusively provides cooling, but the oil provides a meaningful level of cooling and lubrication.

Same thing applys to your engine. The cooling system provides a portion of the engine cooling, but oil cools the motor as well...hence the reason people purchase oil coolers.

We tap the EGT usually on the downpipe, about 1 inch from the exhuast housing of the turbine. If the motor is out of the car, we'll tap the exhuast manifold about 1 inch from the exhuast port.
