Default Frankenstein turbo??

Ive been looking to into alot of new stuff thats going to be comming out for FI'd Z's. I see the fuel problem will be solved, and some of the new plenums comming out. Any turbo upgrade's that will fit. I have a friend with a turbo DSM eclipse, his car is a 12.23 second car, regular bolt-on, stock turbo, but the turbine or housing is changed. Can this be done to a 18g turbo, has anyone done it?

yes it has been done, and yes it can be done. the greddy is twin 18 g right? you could very easily put a 20g compressor wheel in there, port the shroud, etc, and pick up a little more power out of it.

or just get yourself a 25g hybrid.

if your crazy about mixing and matching go for the garrett style turboes, more to choose from. mitsu (16,18,20g) are all very small compared to the size of the garrett (t-04+), afaik a 18g is roughly a little t-03.

something like the gt35r is a small t-04. from there u have the gt42r and others.
