I have a question in regards to the use of a Turbo Timer. I was readign about it but Im not sure if its really a necessity. I know its safer for it but would I be ok without a turbo timer for now or for ever?

With the greddy turbos not being water cooled, a turbo time becomes much more of a necessity than on a JWT or APS type setup. As long as you let the car run for a minute or so before you shut it off, you will be fine with out a turbo timer

Ok guys im dissapointed in this shop. As of today its nearly three weeks and car is not done. Their excuse is that they are behind since they had to re arraneg the shop. I was patient but they promised 5 days in arrow that it would be "tomorroe" and they never even called to postpone but I had to be the one calling and asking. Then they said I called "too much" WTF? Im pissed. It shouldnt take 3 weeks

Its not cool they don't update you but that kit isn't the easiest to install. Could take 40 hours for someone who has never done one before. Thats a solid week of work if they don't do anything else...What else is being installed? This could change the time frame a lot.

Just the TT kit and an optional HKS BOV and a new CF hood.

Besdies fitting the hood and welding the flange for the BOV (maybe an extra couple days) it shouldn't be more then 2 weeks. I hope they aren't charging by the hour...

^^ The greddy twin is a 20 to 30 hour install average so three weeks is bullsh!t. The hardest thing about the install is the turbo manifolds so they should have had his car ready regardless of what other things the shop has to do. I believe they gave him a set date for the car to be ready and they still are weeks away from that day. The shop did not even call him to inform him of the delay and he had to cal to find out. The amount of money the kit and install costs he should have got first priority and a set date for install rather than almost a month for install.......very ghey if you ask me and I know Street Image is known to be a good shop for the Z and G guys but this is just not right and does not fall in the category of excellent customer service.....

I guess im lucky. They took 3 weeks to finish mine. Lately they've been laggin sick like ever since the L.A auto show. Eric is actually supposed to call me back about some prices but I doubt he'll remember. I saw your car there a few weeks ago up on the lift. I have the black G35c on black rims with the greddy kit too. I'm thinking of upping the boost asap. Besides that though, they've done good work and if I had problems they ALWAYS took care of it eventually. But like any human being I'm impatient when I get a deadline and it goes over by another week.

delays are inevitable and expected in the auto industry..
it the LACK OF COMMUNICATION that pisses me off in situations like this
they should give you a break financially when they do that for every delay.
god knows your paying them for their time .. you should get something for that

Yes lack of communication irritates me as well. The good thing was they discounted labor/parts for me for being so patient.
