Alright first off, my cars been in the shop since the beginning of august. The whole motor build process was suppose to be done by the end of the month. But apparently the motor shop had problems getting the right rod bearings so that added a few weeks on top of the normal time. Next, my shop, (whose name i wont say) took their sweet ol' time puttin it all back together.
Here's the kicker though, apparently the two mechanics who ive known for a while were planning on leaving the shop, without notice to the owners because they were getting screwed w/ their pay and other ****. So they rushed to put my motor back together, at that point, i knew there was a chance that somethin would go wrong. So the last day before they left, they got my motor all together, (This was in november, so its been about 4 months already) but it would'nt idle, there were a bunch of leaks, oil and coolant, and there was barely any oil pressure. And since they were rushing to get outta there, they had my car towed to Nissan for them to figure it out, hoping that they would fix it.
So i go over to nissan at the beginning of November to see what they say is wrong w/ it, and they tell me that since they didnt put the motor together, they dont know how it was put back together, or what was done to it. And since i know almost the whole service dept at nissan, they told me to find a trust worthy garage to fix it otherwise they would end up charging a sh1tload to look at it. So now i get it towed from nissan to my dads friends' garage. Now its been at this garage for almost a month, but they get it fixed and running again.
Heres a list of all that was wrong w/ it after the original garage that was doin the build put it together.
Idle problem: missing bolts from crawford manifold leading to huge vacuum leak
Oil leak: missing O ring seals from oil pan and a few other places, and a crack in the timing chain cover
No oil pressure: missing O ring seals caused the low to no oil pressure
Obviously all these problems happened because they rushed it and tried to get out of there.
Now i got my car back on friday last week and its running perfect. I took the bill from the garage that fixed my car to the original garage's owners. They took off all the labor money and a few other parts costs to make up for what i had to spend to fix what they screwed up. I lost a few hundred bucks in the whole thing, but im just gonna call it a wash let it go since its not worth goin to court for a few hundred.
So im just happy to have my car back, im breaking in the new motor right now and still have a few more hundred miles to go before i can pop on the Turbonetics kit i have sittin in my garage. So this whole process took 5.5 months of hell, But all is well and good now.
BTW, before this build i had a vortech system, and sold that, did the build, and now have the TN kit goin in.
I had to share this with you guys just to get this off my chest...lol...and it gives you guys somethin to do at work...

Like I said without knowing what they have done yet for research best bet is to call him. He can set you up with whatever you need I think...
