Default APS TT and ARC Radiator

I just order an ARC radiator for my 350ZRTT (APS), I just learn that I will need to modify the factory fan in order to fit properly. Does any one on this forum have an APS TT an ARC radiator? Do I really need to modify the OEM FAN? Any advices will be highly appreciated.

THX!

Why do you feel you need a different radiator?
I have both oil & water temp gauges (not OEM) on my APS TT setup.
I'm more concerned about oil temp than water temp.

I have the APS with the Koyo radiator on a G35. We had to drastically modify the fans, because they wouldn't fit down between the IC piping. We shaved the housing AND the fan blades themselves. It wasn't too bad, but the guy who did it is very precise and meticulous, and he balanced the blades after he shaved them down.

We had to modify the fans/shroud as well when doing a Koyo with an APS system. Luckily it wasn't too much of a pita though.

My cars performance has signaficantly increased since I got the Stillern Radiator and Nismo Thermostat installed.
Stillen was pretty straight forward they had to move a few things out the way but nothing major

What are the dimensions of the Koyo radiator? Does any one know what the best low profile fan for the 350Z is.

Cesar:

Be advised there are two models of Koyo for the Z/G35
The two row installed with very minor cuts to the FiberGlass / Brackets ( .5 Hr )

The three row is considered to be harder ( Wld350Z ) called it a "Butch" job.
Estimated 1.5hr - So Tony DG will trade the 3row to his buddy and put a two row in the Red Car.

Like MrTomCat was saying the bigger radiator does do wonders. Thomas is very methodical, and is only lacking a sea level 1/4 mile track to put all of his modifications to the test. The next item he is adding is water injection and additional instrumentation/monitoring/logging. German speaking engineer.

Also Cheston (PE TT) has done the more difficult cooling / air flow / oil cooler / external water spray. Nasa/ Edward AFB engineer.

Also GurgenPB Russian speaking engineer - Instrumentation is his forte. Lives in SoCal - Last year of college in SF. Inovate units cascaded - monitors up to 30 some input devices with logging. ( His car is a test bed on wheels. Counts his VQ's by number. )
Current install is built number two, and he has a spare in the works.

And of course Sharif of forgedinternals - Farsi speaking engineer - Who moved to the East Coast NC - the rest was history...

Opps - nearly forgot DAVEO - from sportZmagazine - he has a G35 Sedan - par none when it comes to knowing how to control heat under the hood in his N/A. Mr volumetric efficetcy. (SP)
Dave has been very instrumental in advising the crew on taking thermal measurements of underhood plumbing.

Cheers Amy -
