Exclamation Turbonetics + rsr gt2 exhaust and the aftermath....

I installed the motordyne isothermal spacer, new spark plugs (1 step colder), and the rsr gt2 exhaust, and this is my driving impressions. First off, the car pulls like a monster and it doesn't appear to show any boost creep, but has apparently went from 8 psi to a steady and holding 9 psi. AFRs are exactly what they were, it just appears to pull much harder, and sounds spectacular.

Should I be alarmed by this, my mechanic said that with a free flowing exhaust the boost may raise but explained the "boost spike" as something completly different, he said this happens when the boost continues to increase never holding, is this correct, and is my car doing what it should?

This is a result of the exhaust decreasin backpressure and increasing the boost pressure. This can be corrected by the overboost fix pipes Turonetics is sending out.

Should I concern myself with that? I am going to get the car tuned with the utec and I bought a 5 lb spring for the wastegate. This will be done on the 23rd. THanks for that, but Reggie didn't seem to enthusiastic about sending me one before I put the exhaust on, he is very helpful and I am sure he would now, but the car doesn't appear to be spiking, it holds 9 all the way. What are your opinions?

You don't seem to be overboosting to much but I'm worried that even with a lighter spring and that exhaust you may still not see the boost you want. That exhaust is just like the Topspeed. Ridiculous free flowing that is. If you are not on the list for a boost correction pipe I would get on there now.

Are the spark plugs a good investment? What brand did you go with? How much total? I got the spacer on its way. Nice setup you have. Make some videos.

One step colder plugs help prevent detonation so they are a ood investment in my book. One step colder platinum or Iridiums will work. I would stick with NGK.

Faster to get them from Sharif, but cheaper locally. I bought mine from Napa.

You most likely will not notice any difference in power. Just safer. As for the correction pipes the first batch is shipping Friday.
