hi guys help me out with this one, I am thinking of purchasing a TT kit for my G but I am wondering just how much i'm going to spend after tune and all the extra parts + labor needed for this job. give me some estimates of how much you have spent so I don't get ripped off, I'm pretty hands on but don't want to F up on install not looking to make major power just want some extra pow while remaining reliable . and yes i've searched .
My other thought was if i'm going to spend 10k hopefullly not. I might as well sell my outback and put that money down on an EVO and up grade the turbo. I will still keep the G and have the EVO for the winter months as well being all wheel drive. what are your thoughts.

400RWHP car. Your car has plenty of top end speed (156mph) from the factory.
If you need to be Quicker - then God take mercy on your sole...
Er SoulThe EVO is a very nice car, and blends in to traffic nicely here in SoCal.
The styling is a Econo Car- with a wing. As we have too many four door's
with wings here.. There is no strong statement. Inside the car there is a lot
of engineering and capabilities..
For a car that can make a styling statement. How about the Eclipse (EVO powered) that the Sports Compact Magazine's have been showing...

P.S. Seems like you have a plan already.

if you want 400whp on an EVO you dont even need to upgrade the turbo. you could have 400 for half of that 10k you quoted. its not hard at all, boltons, cams, tuning, and alky injection can easily net you 380-390 awhp. maybe even a bit more on an EVO 9.
the evo is not problem free either, but i trust it a bit more than running a z at those boost levels.
however if you want to go much bigger than 400hp, keep the z. its easier to hit the bigger numbers with it. for an evo to break 500awhp you will need a built motor, new turbo, lots of fuel parts, etc which will cost nearly the same as building a z to do it.
but the evo would be running 30+psi, while a z could do 500whp at a little over 10 psi.
another thing to note. an evo is much more streetable wiht that kind of power. being rwd a z will be a ***** to control. ask any of the members on here what happens when they launch their 400+whp cars, its gonna be a lot of fishtailing and burning out. an evo just goes.

To do it right:
TT kit
Exhaust/test pipes
install and tune
clutch
gauges
Figure about 12 grand or so and about 16-18 if you include a built motor.
