Default Air Filter Problems

Well, I was checking under my car and low and behold one of the APS TT filters has separated from the rubber boot. It doesn't look stressed, the filter body just pulled out of the rubber boot part. Nothing looks like it got hit, kind of looks like it vibrated off.
Kind of pissed, because for the past 100 miles I have probably been sucking dust particles into my engine .

Well, I am attempting to repair it with RTD, hope it works. RTD works for just about everything else and I used the ultra high temp one.

That's strange...I haven't heard of that happening before. Make sure that it's nice and tight this time around

This was not a hose clamp coming loose, the actuall air filter fell apart. The top rubber boot (that looks like it was glued) just separated from the filter body. I just put it back together with some high temp RTD and also put four mechanical fasterners to positively hold it together. I have to wait for 24 hours for the RTD to set and then will see if I can pull it apart.
I hope all goes well.
