Default Z with the most horsepower?

Who has the most powerful Z street car on this site? Do you guys know what turbo and set up with what PSI they are running? I'm wondering if they have a write up I can check out on this website, or a thread with some details perhaps, I would like to read about it, maybe something i can aspire to and use as a guide line in the future.

Search in the FI section. There are a number of guys pushing 700+whp on what they term streetable cars. There are a few pushing 800whp but I honestly do not know how that runs on the street. There is also someone running over 800whp but I am pretty sure that is a PURE drag/show car and is not used for daily driving.

Keep in mind these numbers are for the car's highest boost setting. When running on the street I am sure they use lower boost for a more manageable driving experience.

Personally on the track I run 10 PSI on race gas and on the street as my weekend driver I run stock boost or 7 PSI.

Taking a guess....I think Marin, and soon BigBri is going to be running a near identical setup and making the same or more hp.

I think Mjden will have the highest streetable Z. He's pushing 753 with a low boost setting of only "17". Max boost is 30. Here is the link to the thread on his car. There is also a very short clip of what to expect with 700+hp. They also mentioned in that thread that the tires break loose in 5th gear.

+1 on mjdens car. It maxed out SGP's dyno at 820whp at like 22psi or 23psi. They never boosted to 30psi or used the NOS shot they had set up. As far as streetable he did drive the car home to TN from TX.

VRT has a G that they have not been able to get on a dyno with their high boost setting. The "low" is I think 690 and that is at 14 PSI I think. They are shooting for 800+. The car at the low setting is definately driveable, as I drove it a little. Not sure with the high setting though.

Yep,

Sorry I didn't get to Dyno the 800 WHP run this week. We have been very busy preparing for the Hot Import Nights in SD, had two new cars come into the shop, and had our first AT car dynoed today. An AT TT car is really cool. We had to mildly tune it to protect the AT, but it drives and feels great. Jim and Clark were all smiles after test driving Ty's White G today after the dyno tuning.

Pretty Cool.

Will get my G35C over 800 WHP this next week after getting some video at Laguna Seca. BTW, the car is totally streetable, is a lil' ruff right at start-up because of the fuel AND OF COURSE YOU have to watch any throttle hits after 2800 RPM...LOL...

Thanks for your confidence NISSANSOURCE...We are having fun. Are you going to Big Willow with SERCA 3/31/06?

M

I think some guidelines would help, I'm curious about street cars running on 91octane....
Let's have a list of people running on Only Pump gas, nothing else... To me that is the true mark...

If you want to talk race gas, fuel cell, roll cage in a street car; Performance Motorsport has set that bar almost two years ago about 1200-1300hp low 8's @ 178mph on DOT Drag Radials... What's Up!

Granted there is a big big difference from the guys running 700-800 running on C16... and PM running on Methonal between 1200-1800hp... As far as I'm concerned; Both have crossed over from the street car catagory...

This motor has sick HP potential, We've seen it...But I think most of us want to know what the max HP potential is on Pump gas... The mark of a true street car... I'm thinking it's around 550...

It's look like this car only he has changed a few things. It was also done by SGP.
