Thumbs up 11.98 Turbonetics 1/4 !!!

Mods please dont move this I wanted this here so the FI guys could see I know they dont visit the drag forum that much!

Well guys after much waiting to get my car to the track I finally had a chance to run my newly Turbo Z. As some of you know I have been saying I was gonna be the first ST Z in the 11's and I did it today Let me start by saying a few things. This was done on slicks on my SREET TUNE-9psi PUMP GAS. I also have a race gas map on higher boost coming but I wanted to see if I coulld hit 11's on my street tune. My UTEC is awesome but this temperature compensation is making my car run very rich(safe but not powerful). After fine tuning the A/F's on Friday (50degrees) to what I thought today would be like I ran in colder conditions today which threw my UTEC into the next temp compensation down and made me rich(in the 10's A/F) Obviously my car isnt running bad, but nowhere near the 396/400 #'s when at 11:1 A/F. And I did this with a constant 20+mph headwind(ask any of the 5 or 6 Z/G owners who were at the track with me) Ok, enough BS, one more comment and thats a thanks to AAM for the tune(temp comp is not their fault), fuel system, and help with getting me running well.

I ran 3X, break down is as follows:

Run 1:

60ft----> 1.894 THIS SUCKS A$$ I didnt heat the slicks up enough
330'----> 5.220
1/8-----> 7.917 @ 90.59
1000'---> 10.244
1/4-----> 12.215 @ 115.29

Run 2:

60ft----> 1.761 My first 1.7 60ft
330'----> 5.004
1/8-----> 7.707 @ 88.63
1000'---> 10.021
1/4-----> 11.985 @ 114.32 **Car picked up 26mph the last 1/8 I was happy considering the nasty headwind
Edit-HERE IS THE IN-CAR VIDEO---> http://videos.streetfire.net/video/B...93ED9FC20B.htm

Run 3:

60ft----> 1.791
330'----> 5.054
1/8-----> 7.755 @ 90.00
1000'---> 10.080
1/4-----> 12.048 @ 114.55

I was VERY thrilled as you can imagine, I was dissapointed with my traps, but I know I can do better I cant stress this nasty headwind enough. Well guys the bar has been raised I think in the FI world, first TN and ST Z in general to my knowledge in the 11's. Race gas, more boost and better conditions to come I wont even call out what I think Ill be running in the next few months BTW I have in car video of all the runs, Ill post those later...comments?

Awesome ET's. Your traps are typical for this amount of power....nice work!

Thank you Sir...Sharif I can trap 116-117mph consistently in better conditions on this tune, Ill prove it If Im typical to others traps at this power level than thats not good enough for me

GQ-My exhaust is a Full Titanium 3" single canister, non resonated. That bolts to the TN downpipe.

Great job Alberto way to rep AAM. What RPMs with slicks/power do the axles break? I know one member broke his on a 5000RPM launch

No set rpm/power range, if you preload the drivetrain you lessen your chances of breakage...some snap NA sidestepping, many with more power dont.
