Default difference between AAM and CJM Return fuel kits?

Is there a difference between the AAM and CJM return fuel kits for the VQ, and if so...what is it?

Well the stage II CJM comes with a whole new hard feed line and some other goodies... Aside from that I doubt theres too much of a difference.

my understanding is the CJM has an extra layer or two on some of its lines that the AAM doesn't. Though the AAM has SS braiding as the outside layer which looks nicer than the CJM.

I think when AAM initially finished their kit, CJM was looking at it and noticed some things he could do better and also a flaw so Charles built his own version. Later AAM, updated their system to fix that flaw.

The CJM is also possibly upgradable when the twin fuel pump design is finished. I'd still tend to say the CJM is a little more heavy duty. It used to cost $250 more than the AAM until a few months ago they lowered the price to match the AAM

For all practical purposes, the Stage I systems are the same. The AAM system uses anodized -ans fittings, that swivel, which makes them easier to install than the CJM fittings, which lock down on you. Thats about the only notable difference between the two stage 1 systems.

The CJM system attaches to the hardpipe with an adapter and goes to the transmission and up the back of the engine to avoid exhaust manifold and turbocharger heat by several inches.. All the lines are teflon core for smoother and larger inside diameter and greater long term durability. The lines are rubber coated on top of the stainless braiding so that they do not saw thru parts of your car (something you will see after building cars for a very long time).

The CJM fittings are not swivel since swivel is not required on any of the fittings. It does take 2 hands to tighten them, as you said.. .because it will lock down on you unless you use your other hand to hold it in position then tighten... so its easy as 1,2,3 anyway.

The fittings are also professional crimped fittings, rather then goodridge series 200 twist on fittings.

The CJM system utilizes a -6 return, rather then a -4 return.

the CJM systems have been going thru near mass production lately to keep up with the orders. the rails are now rifle drilled also, for smoother interior flow. this saturday we are finishing up 27 more sets!

we took some extra steps to make it so we had a product that was actually different enough to be worth putting on the market. but if your just looking for a safe fuel system that will allow you to get where you want to be with HP... either system works... remember I had the AAM on my car back when I was making 475rwhp!

its funny you ask that... Brandon and I told ourselves that as soon as the intake manifold was ready we were gonna sponsor again (we used to).. but then the manifold saw delay after delay and now its been a loooong time since that project started.... but its actually done

i guess we have just been cheap skates lately.

<----volunteers......I could be the first TN powered car!

I have the CJM Fuel system also. I bought it over the AAM because Charles goes the extra step with everything he produces. He included the right size return line (-6) and all lines are coated over the stainless braided. The FPR is Aeromotive (my buddy got a knock off with his AAM and it didnt work, his return line hda to be changed out to -6 also). Plus the CJM fuel rails are UNREAL looking.

I have the CJM Stage 2 system, and its quality is superb! The reason why I went with the CJM system is because, as mentioned before, it comes with a few extra things that makes it extra heavy duty way more than you need. I'd rather have way more things to make sure my car is running as safe as can be, than have it not safe enough.

The CJM fuel system is done being installed on my car now.

I haven't seen the AAM system in person, but the CJM one is pretty incredible with how thick some of the tubing is and how overkill it is - for the same price as the AAM which gets the job done too and is nice, but I'm getting the idea it's slightly more show car oriented than being in a car that gets serious abuse like the CJM system can sustain

+1 on Charles being a great great guy. He'll go way beyond that extra mile to make sure you're happy with the products he makes. I'm sure AAM has good product support too, but after seeing how much Charles bent over backwards for me and how nice his fuel system is, I'm glad I went with his system. I'm sure other people would feel the same.

Yeah Sharif is awesome. I hope me saying good things about Charles doesn't make someone think Sharif isn't as good or something cause that isn't the case by a long shot

He seriously helped me out with my emanage ultimate and other things and he's one of the first people I go to when I'm buying something. You really can't go wrong with either person as for as customer service. Both Charles and Sharif are great. I consider them two of the biggest knowledgable guys on the boards who both are really pushing the Z to new levels and both have some of the best customer service in the business.

hehe ok i'm gonna keep my mouth shut so I don't end up sticking my foot in it again

No, the stock fuel filter is still utilized and offers no restriction... taken to over 650rwhp.
