FINISHED THE INSTALL!! everything is running GREAT so far. Had a fuel leak at the pump that was caused by my poor install of the L (90 degrees )fitting. as soon as there was indication of a leak i knew where it was coming from. BIG PROPS to King Tut who came over to program my UTEC, helped me in calibrating my innovate wideband and for helping me correct my bad install. King Tut i owe you dinner! lol
Fuel pressure problem was just a rookie mistake. nothing was wrong with it!
i am running MAP 0 with scaled injectors just as Sharif suggested. Before the UTEC, AAM RFS, my Z would hic up from time to time and the a/f readings would go to @17-19 and occasionally would give a SES light. So far it is running without hic ups and no SES lights. excited to be finished! Now i just need a good tune!!
updated pics of my vacuum manifold. this thing works great!! looks good too!
originally i had a smaller diameter hose feeding the vacuum to the manifold. that was temp though. below is a pic of the new hose (3/8th dia) feeding the manifold.

The PCV valve line to the lower plenum is tapped for the vacuum. i will keep it this way once my Kinetix SSV is installed.

Clean install, man.
My only suggestion is to use heat shrink tubing instead of electrical tape as electrical insulation. It won't get all sticky, and it holds up much better over time.
Actually it's kinda hard for me to tell by the pics what you used, but it looks like electrical tape. If you used heat shrink tubing already forgive me.

what to do, what to do...here is my dilemma: I will not have much time to do anything in the upcoming weeks due to leaving the FWB area (almost for good). i have things that have to get done and things that i want to do, for example, visit my father, family and one special girls, i mean girl.
j/k!
If i go to NC to get tuned and for HIN i will: 1) lose family and friend time 2) pay more money for lodging, gas (rising prices), food and of course the show entrance fee 3) put alot of miles on my Z and probably take alot of road damage during the trip (ex. paint chips)
The drive to NC from here is 610 miles. the drive from NC to TX is 1168 miles. That is alot of driving!! Alot of wasted family and friend time spent on the road. Plus, after i make my trip to TX to drop off my car for the 5 months i will be in MD, i still have to buy a plane ticket from Austin to FWB, the military will pay for my ticket from FWB to MD.
Although i would LOVE to be at HIN Charlotte and would like to be tuned by sharif and CP racing, if i don't get time to get up there earlier than the second week in May i probably won't go there at all. Lack of time has made it very inconvenient for me to make the trip in that second week of May.
My alternative plan is: Drive to Houston which is on my way back home (i do have to pass directly through there) and stop to get tuned by SGP. i don't know much about them but i have read positive things about them here and on other boards. from all that i have gathered about that shop, it very knowlegeable with the vq35de and UTEC. Can anyone chime in on SGP? Let me know anything about them, good or bad.
i would miss HIN Charlotte but i would be back from MD for HIN Dallas (which will be close to my new home in TX). i would have more time in TX with my family, have traveled less miles, and saved myself from spending mucho dinero on the lengthy trip. I think i have convinced myself to do the easier, cheaper and overall better thing for myself. Now, i just have to go through with it. I am going to try to make it out to NC for tuning, but if i am able it will have to be sooner rather than later.
i think i just need to convince myself. i really want to go to NC for the show and the tune but...we'll see.
Btw, My car continues to run great with just the scaled injectors. i am not getting on it too much. when i do, i notice it is much richer than before but i would rather be rich than lean. I will be fine on my trip, which ever i choose to do in the end. Besides hitting an animal, my only worry would be a flat because i have no spare, just fix-a-flat.
New mods in the upcoming days will be the kinetix SSV, new wheels, autotecknic JGTC style mirrors and a optima redtop.

Hey Jaime, you are welcome to stay at my house for HIN if you'd like. Always willing to help out a patriotic service member, and fellow Z enthusiast.
I have plenty of room for you, and your car.
Maybe that will sway you into attending HIN Charlotte, and allow us to tune that beast. It's going to be huge...even bigger than the event last year!

one of my alternative plans is getting tuned by sharif prior to HIN Charlotte (if time allows) to get that out of the way, then on my original date of departure (May 10th), travel from FWB to San Antonio to meet up with a girlfriend of mine before terminating in Killeen. My cousin says there is a car show in Austin somewhere on the 13th of May. some club called Annihilator Customs or something like that is sponsoring the event. supposed to be kind of big. I would love to meet up there. If in fact i do go with this alternative, i will contact you prior to.
