Are you runnning the stock Vortech kit now ? If you are and are running lean
[1] the aux fuel pump isnt turning on
[2] a simple retune should take care of it
You would think at elevation [ less air ] going lean shouldnt be a problem

MArk ...you didnt answer the Question . If you are running the stock kit , there isnt any reason for you to go lean . I would say you have a problem that can be easily fixed with out spending money , other than what it will take for a shop to find the problem . If the car has never been tuned other than what came with the kit . You have probably one of two problems . [1] the aux. fuel pump that came with the kit isnt turning on . [2] The FMU isnt working right
Take the car to the shop and ask them to find the problem . Just dont start buying parts till you find the problem
