Default Vortech kit users chime in!

For all you Vortech users who are on the complete kits. would you do it that way if you had to do over or would you spend an extra $2k or more to have a complete fuel system??

I'm somewhat now rethinking doing an entire fuel system. I have the UTEC with Tuner Reg and Map sensor and was just thinking about adding some 550 injectors on the stock rails and just using the Vortech inline pump. Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

If you know you will end up putting on smaller pulleys for more power . I would for sure think about it . Although there are a few guys running the smallest pulley and are still on the Vortech fuel system

Anyone have thoughts on running the Vortech with some 440s or 550s and the inline fuel pump? I'm really wondering how necessary the whole return fuel system is. I've been reading some other threads from those who are very happy with just the out-of-the-box kit. Since I have the UTEC, I'm thinking that with just some injectors and an inline pump, the setup would be ultra safe without spending another thousand on a return fuel setup. Thoughts?????????????

I will be running 440cc injectors with the stock vortech system, but modifiing the FMU to 6/1. This should work fine.

I hade the 2.87 pulley on for 10,000 miles plus, but the fuel system is at the limit.

Ijectors and FMU parts coming this week.

When you say that you're modifying the FMU, do you mean just adding disks to the FMU to change the pressure?

Obviously it will be better to run the return fuel system, but if you dont feel like spending the $$$, then get the injectors and tune it and see if everything works out ok. It shoud work, but you may have an unsafe fuel pressure. Your tuner may find it easier to tune with the return fuel system.
