which oil for A/T other than J matic?

J matic is it, that's all, nothing else. The dual lock up clutch requires it's friction characteristic. Dexron won't cut it. It's possible that other oils will work but if you like your warranty stick with the J matic. Using anything else will most likely void your warranty in the event of tranny failure.

Plus the J matic is pretty good stuff. If you look around you can find it cheaper than the $12 per quart that some dealers charge.

Did a little research and it seems that Z's use different auto trannys than G's. The Z uses a step AT (planetary gears) and the G uses a toroidal CVT (power rollers).

I'm honestly not sure how this would affect what different fluids that you'd want to try. It is interesting though, I thought that they used the same tranny.
