Ok dont flame too quickly. ive done some research. with the correct settings it will give a small HP gain. but if you simply connect it, the unit will throw off your intake and your car will run different. for the money you need to make it work... an exhaust would work better...

I will like to see the "research" that can prove the gains in HP. Well once I saw a turbo with an electric motor attached to the shaft to help keep the RPMs up and reduce turbo lag.

Put simply if you put more "air" in an internal combustion engine you also need to put more fuel to make the ratio of fuel/air mixture correct and make power so THIS MITH IS BUSTED

how do you explain aftermarket intake increases hp without more fuel?

i Dynod it on my 01 Eclipse right before i upgraded to a Ripp mods SC. i was just testing it out. and i used a MAP setting to run the "blower" and it dynod me 7FWHP. and when i ran it withought the MAP setting i lost about 6FWHP. and it dropped the RPMS at idle and fluttered as it accelerated.

I'll have to call your bluff here. At 6000 rpms, our engines pull in 371.5 cubic feet of air per minute. This fan mounts inline with the intake, and "pushes" 250 CFM. It doesn't take much figuring to realise that this is no longer a beneficial element, but a parasitic one, effectively becoming a generator. Due to this, you would lose power due to the engine being forced to suck air through the blades rather than be fed by it. One the bright side, you could possibly power some LEDs or even use it as an extra alternator.
In summary, I think we will have to see not only dyno sheets on this one, but a video of it during the testing. Granted, helicopters are not supposed to be able to fly either and they do, but I don't think this is one of those cases.

the Eclipse is LONG past sold... sorry im not able to post a dyno sheet, so you can call your BS flag all you want. Im not saying it helps the car alot, but there are gains that are made. my ESC pushed out WAY more then 250 though. i really wish i had pictures. but if a local would like to ask my friends if im telling the truth... it would somewhat settle things...when the fan was turned on at idle... the car would idle like ****. i'll go look for some pics later today though. call BS all you wish, but the gains are real.(i would never buy this product again though)
