Oleg: I want you to write down all of the FI kits that you're interested in on a piece of paper, pin it to the wall, and blindly throw a dart at it. Whatever it lands on, is what you get. Seriously. EVERY kit has the potential to blow just as much as anything else out there. It's all INSTALL and TUNING and the overall health of the motor it's going on. Just do something already, FTLOG!!!

BTW, I decided not to spend another penny on the car until there is nothing that needs to be bought for my new house and I am have $$ reserved for a new DD (lease on my current one is over in Jan). Being responsible is not fun. So this leaves me with a good amount of time.

But watch me though, even when I get to the car again, I'll be doing all kinds of other upgrades to push the FI away (like coilovers, LSD, etc...)

I think you should just do a basic shortblock plus the TN then, and call it a day.

The basic shortblock is a given. What I am worried about is that TN is going to suck as opposed to TT kits, and then I'll feel like an *** for getting stuck with it. Dyno charts are good, so are user reviews on the forum, but one view is better then a thousand descriptions, right?

But let me ask you, when the Z came out, did you actually go to the dealer, take a test drive, do some research, etc? Or did you just go like "wow, it's pretty, I want one". Now can you see my point?

Good choice on TL, I'll tell you that. My DD is an MDX, if they can make an SUV drive and handle like that, I can only imagine the TL. Not to mention that interior fit/finish is abouve and beyond the Nissan/Infinity...
If honda/acura made a RWD ~300hp sportscar in Z's price range, I'd be driving that one...

Oleg, what did you think of the Vortech? I know you said it was loud, was it VERY loud? and what about the power? I am going to be heading over to MRC when I get back from vacation on the 11th to further my research and perhaps make a decison and am leaning towards the Vortech. I only want about 350-375WRHP so I think that set up 'should' be safe with a nice tune...just wanted your opinion.

Julian is not a huge fan of blowers (or single turbos)..
The driveability is good, if you don't go too crazy with test pipes, headers, etc, I don't expect it to be too horrible soundwise. But there is that annoying whistling noise coming from the bypass valve...
As far as I know, a Vortech should get the 350-375whp. If I were you, I'd buy a tuner kit from either Avalon, or Superchargersonline, add the MRC's stage 1 fuel/ems (UTEC based), get a good safe tune and enjoy. Of course, that will run you almost as much as the TN ST full kit, so I wouldn't make any quick desicions until you experience both...
UTEC can come handy if you get some annoying noises at idle, then you just bump the idle up to about 800 and you're set...
Do me a favor, if I am still NA when you get yours, contact me and I'll check it out. The other Vortech that I saw was running a smaller pulley plus some other stuff... I want to hear yours.
One thing that I was never able to find an answer for is, how much of an issue is belt breaking/slippage if you saty the 8PSI...
