Default Strange Clutch/Shift oberservation

Not sure if this thread is in the right spot but I am not sure if this is a FI problem.

Anywho, I was noticing that my shifts, in perticular, 1st to 2nd was begining to feel notchy. No grinding just notchy, clanking feel from 1st to 2nd. I decided to do a synthetic trans and diff change. I used Redline fluids and I did notice an improvement in the notchy feel.

I started playing around with how I was shifting to see if any other slight variation in my technique worked better. I read on this board somewhere that you should not depress the clutch all the way to the floor. That sounded a bit counter intuitive but I gave it a shot. To my surprise the trans does shift much more smoothly if I don't depress my cluch all the way in. I do have a very high engagement point. That is just the way it came from the factory. Has anyone noticed this with their 6mt?

Also does anyone sell some sort of clutch stop to prevent the clutch from going all the way to the floor?

yo g35,

i'm in the same boat as u. from my 1st to 2nd, i feel this barrier in my shift. i gotta actually pull it with a lot of strength before the shifter is in 2nd gear.

i took it to the dealer and they said nothing was wrong. i call BS. they're just lazy and they don't want to fix it =/
