I thought about a vortech kit but I have the AAM flash with the raised rev limiter and everyone is telling me that the rods and whatnot wont hold up under that kind of pressure and that I would have to build. Any idea how much that would cost?

The warranty on the motor and anyting associated to it could be voided. If your radio stops working your radio will be covered. Only the part of the car not the whole car will be voided. But the dealership will have to prove that because of a turbo your motor blew up. That is real easy to do.
edit: Stillen has a engine warranty but I have heard a few stories where they didn't cover the damage.

Do it! Anyone here savvy enough to:
1. Know how to turn a wrench
2. Know where to go to get valid input
3. Read a few texts
4. Dedicate ALOT of time, patience, money, and discipline
5. Possess the entrepreneurial spirit
…and most importantly…
6. Develop a network of people with something to contribute
Or perhaps this ex DSM`er needs to STFU and get back to work in order to afford a Z and make his mark on the community.
....I drive a G6 (for reasons I will not get into) and dream about Zs every time I look at the rear end. The front end, however, compels me to modify a G6 with some TLC and a Louisville slugger.
For all you spoolers out there, I salute you!

Why don't you like APS? The APS ST is more complete than the Turbonetics ST anyways.
Most of you guys here don't know much about us here at Sound Performance, but we are moving into the Z/G market HARD!! My partner and I Larry are in the middle of our SP twin turbo kit. We will be offering a race setup and a street setup. We've been in business for nearly 18 years and have been most active in the Supra market, however, we've focused on custom forced induction applications for 15years. While we love the supra platform, we have grown VERY fond of the VQ and see so much potential. Moving towards this platform has given us a shot in the arm and we truly look forward to bringing our expertise to the VQ market. We have direct relationships with nearly every manufacturer in the market, and due to our long history we get some of the most competitive pricing out there. Wrhile we do focus on selling parts and service we also have a primary focus on fabrication and manufacturing.
Race setup will include an HUGE intercooler 28x12.75x5 core, Tubular headers, tial gates recirculated, and Twin custom SP61 turbo's. These turbo's are currently experimental and we're looking to put down over 600hp on each of these. The race setup has potential for 1000+hp!
The street setup will offer a smaller IC core that will require less modification to fit, and we'll offer a hair smaller turbo for the kit.
More details in the next couple of weeks on the SP TT Kit
We look forward to supporting the community, and if anyone has any questions I can be reached ANYTIME!

I have heard of SP in the past. They are known for putting some huge HP and TQ numbers in Supra's. I talked to them about getting a kit for my Scion TC, but I traded it for the Z. I would be very interested in hearing more about this setup. I would willing to be a test car if you need one (Maybe a discount on the setup?) I live about 2.5 hours from your shop.
Bloomingdale, IL? hmmm i live in chicago heights, not far from your shop. Id be interested in stopping by and checking you guys out. Ive been slowly contemplating a turbo setup.
