Ask him if the timing harness is hooked up. If so, might need a pull a little more timing, to keep the coolant where it needs to be.
There was no timing harness hooked up.Actually Dougs car was slated to get the UTEC but this was the time period where the UTECs were acting up, so we opted to hook up the emanage blue to get him his car back since no one knew when the utec would be fixed..Dougs car was bone stock with a stock exhaust and barely mage 340whp at 4.5 psi. with a really rich A/F of low 11's. I think more or less Doug's car overheated as a result of a stuck thermostat or a pesky air bubble left in the cooling system..And due to the location of the Greddy overflows tank feed line being at the top of the canister it blew all over the engine.Doug is a good customer and is sceduled to bring the car back in on Saturday for a check up and to install the UTEC as I am not a fan of running stock timing levels on any means of F/I kit..
I think there are too many people with misinformation trying to diagnose Doug's car over the internet via pictures, and this is causing him undue stress and alarm..

or you could of boiled over the fluid and it simply . its happened to me and its happened to my buddy's car. i wouldnt say you have a blows gasket yet. people jump to conclusions way to fast
thats has also happened to me 100% stock>>>>>
"overflowed the overflow tank and squirted everywhere"
so whatever happened to the car doug? what was the problem? headgasket or was it something minor?
Car was fine, it was an air bubble in the system and the car simply overheated..The colored substance was only an additive my tech's use in the coolant to keep the temps down, it makes the coolant more efficient.
To many people jump to conclusions with this headlift issue..To date we have not experienced it on one single turbo job we have done, and we beat the **** out of our cars..
don't worry.. sooner or later i will call his parents and tell them to cut the umbilical cord and then he will have to get a job and he will be limited to start modding civics..
