already sold my turbos...and I was having the dilemma for the longest time. It's still going through the process of registering here in california. It's a pain in the a$$...but I'm pretty sure I wanna keep her. Go big or go home.
4000+ on the GReddy TT. I run 10psi when I get a wild hair up my a$$, but keep it at 7.5 for daily driving. And yep, I've got a pot of money for a built block if/when she goes bye-bye.
Around 20k miles with my Vortech Z. Beat the crap out of it ever day. My theory has always been its the torque thats killing our motors.
If it's torque that's killing stock VQs, then mine should have gone LONG ago. Besides, the most common failure seemes to be the rods and torque does NOT break rods. excessive RPM is much harder on a rod than torque.
If excessive power was the problem, there would be a relatively consistant power level that motors would be failing at, and that's not the case at all.
