Default Exhaust Clips with Turbos

Just trying to get an idea of what some of these exhausts sound like with a turbo. Especially the HKS TD, Topspeed/RSR, JIC Ti, and any other custom setups...

Post your exhaust setup including cat/no cats, which turbo setup you have, and a sound/video clip.

My burnouts on that day were weak, track was WAY sticky and after seeing 2 cars snap axles I didnt want to join the club-hence the weaker than usual burnouts. What kind of clutch do you run? Sounds like you may have air in the line and/or the fluid is overheating, nothing a stainless clutch line cant fix. BTW-I also pulled the brake fuse enabling me to powerbrake.

Thanks Alberto...Sounds SWEET!

I have the HKS TD ti exhaust on my car now...but in a few months I am planning to install the TN kit along with a built motor. I plan to keep it around 400-500hp, not looking for anything too crazy. Im just worried that the HKS exhaust will be too quiet for my tastes when the turbo goes on now. It sounds just a bit louder than stock right now with the stock cats. I know the TN kit will delete the cats, but the turbo will also act as a muffler...so will the sound level increase at all when I turbo the car, or will it turn out being the same as it sounds with N/A motor and stock cats? Also, will the HKS ti be able to support this amount of HP or should I go with a 3"? I know I will need a reverse Y pipe to mate the exhaust with the turbo, but I have been thinking about just making things easier and getting an exhaust that will mate up and work better with the turbo. Should I stick with the HKS ti, get a different exhaust (RSR, JIC), or just go custom? Any suggestions?

The HKS you have with the TN kit will be quieter than your NA set-up now, so if its already too quiet you wont like it after the turbo. I had an Injen TD before my TN kit and I decided to swap it for the JIC 80mm to make the install easier, and for your 400-500whp goals (maxing out the TN turbo) that size is fine. Really up to you if you want to spend the $$$, I love the exhaust, and it only weighs 9.8lbs

Here is a short clip of me driving by and shifting with the Turbonetics ST and Fujitsubo exhaust:

http://www.craiglofton.com/hostedima...igZdriveby.avi

It is the quietest 3" catback exhaust on the market, which is what I love about it. The video doesn't ultimately do it justice, as it has a nice low, smooth exhaust note that sounds more exotic than racey. You can actually hear the turbo spool up noticably over the exhaust. I love it.

I'm with Taurran. I am also using the fujitsubo and I love it basically for the same reasons he does. It's quiet, you can hear the turbo over it, and it looks damn good too. I get compliments all over town about it.

So my HKS TD will be more quiet when I install the TN kit than N/A stock cats...I would think that since the TN kits deletes the cats, it would still be a little louder even though the turbo acts as a muffler. Does anyone have the HKS TD on a turbo? Pref a single turbo?

I dunno, I might just end up selling this one and getting a different exhaust that is just a bit louder, and will be better for that HP range. Also, I dont like the idea that I have to spend even more money to get a reverse Y pipe made to just make it work.

I wish I could find an Amuse exhaust for cheap...Anyone know of anyone that is selling a used Amuse exhaust???

BTW, thanks for allt he vids that were posted..I really like the sound of the JIC, but I also really like the look of a dual exhaust. I have been thinking about the RSR/Topspeed exhaust, but still havent heard one on a turbo Z.
