UTEC Air Temp Corrections
Sorry if this is a basic question...
How do you calculate the correction factors? I looked through the CD that was provided with the UTEC and didn't see a table to use. I downloaded the "USB and air temp calculator" from TurboXS's website and couldn't find a usable file in there. I'm sure I'm just over looking something here, but I can't figure it out.

turbo xs has the spreadsheet on thier website for it, i personally dont like the figures i get with it, i pretty much cut their figures in half and was happy with it, i think the figures on their spreadsheet are a bit extreme and definitely cause d my car to run like crap...
the spreadsheet is also up on this site somewhere, just try a search

OK, my car runs fine at night in ~70 degree weather with an A/F of 12:1.
In the day time, it runs lean, closer to 13:1. I set all air temp corrections to 0 and saw no change at all in the A/Fs. I guess I'll just drive at night!!!

well if you put them all to zero, well there wont be any change, you will need to add fuel and take out timing in the hotter temps and do the opposite for cooler temps, i would start off with lower figures than the temp spreadsheet ends up with. here i will post it on here, all you do is figure out 70 degrees goes on the chart in Celcius, then put the other figures (the % change) in when it gives them to you.... pm me your email addy please, wont put an XLS file up

By eliminating the - numbers I should eliminate the pulling of fuel, which should richen it up.

no. you should pull timing in hot air.
hot air is less dense than cool air..therfore, less oxygen. if you add more fuel, you'll really get rich.
in cool air, you need more fuel to compensate for the denser air mass. additionally, you can run more timing in cooler air.

now I think I know where you got this from........
alot of people like to throw alot of fuel into the mix when you have hot air due to turbo/supercharger heated air. this is to try and cool the intake charge.
the problem comes from trying to run alot of boost on higher compression pistons. if you had 8:1 or lower compression ratio, you could run a F:A closer to stoich.
