So nice to have others who enjoy this kit like I do! I feel so at home on this thread.

So for the rev-up motors, is the satge 4 avail yet or can you only get the stage 3 at this point? Also are there any other hoods that can fit the charger or are you limited to what stillen has?

I have yet to see anything but the Stillen hoods.

Being this is one of the biggest reasons people don't go for this kit I can't believe that more companies don't make hoods that would fit it!

Good numbers. Im anxious to see what a rev-up stillen stage 4 w/ dual exhaust can make!

I agree... I would be wonderful if another company made a hood that cleared the blower but with an even more subtle look than stillen's hoods. I hate the one with the faux scoop. I have the cowl one in CF and its not bad.

It would be nice if stillen had some more hood choices, but I wonder what would be a more appealing hood to 350z owners.

Just something smoother and more subtle would appeal to me. I dont like busy hoods.

If they made one with a functional cowl it would help. This kit does heat soak so the more air flow the better!

Stage 4 was not available yet. Soon I was told.

Agree on the hood. It's unfortunate because the Stillen is the most expesive set up (over Vortech, ATI, and Turbonetics Single Turbo) and requires you to spend yet another $1000(+) on a new hood/paint job, plus another $229 for a strut brace (I have sent Crawford Z an email trying to find out if their strut bar will work with the Stillen Charger).

Uggghhhh! Stillen is kill'n me!

Stillen stuff has never been cheap. I agree it has a lot of parts and R&D but it is a bit expensive for what it is.

Wasn't the first gen hood like the G one? I can't remember.

I wish they would make a G strut bar like the one for the Z!

The series 1 Z hood is more of a cowl induction hood like a 1st gen camaro with a bubble on top. Stillen tried to use the original lines in the Z hood for the cowl.

Those #'s aren't bad at all IMO. Do you think the Stage 1 would get around 10hp less than the Stage 2?

has anyone with a stillen s/c (any stage) done some runs against a vortech Z? i was wondering how a stillen-Z matches up against a vortech-Z (im torn between these two f/i setups). I know probably off the line from a stop, the stillen would jump out due to its low rpm power, but would the vortech catch up and jump ahead due to vortech's high end power? And how about from a 40mph launch? At that rpm (roughly 4K) both setups are in "boost" so im wondering what the outcomes would be? Thanks to anyone who has an info on this - maybe some first hand info....

Both excellent setups in my mind..

There's a thread on 350z tech. A vortech against a stage 4. The stillen won everytime.

IMo vortech blows is very na. no area under the curve. a larger roots blower would make stillen head up with the big twin turbo boys... our motors have the torque to make roots s/cing fun!
