My car was on the lift for SIX HOURS while I talked to my Vendor and they talked to Greddy. We emailed digital photos of the damaged exhaust and the undamaged shipping cartons and they still couldn't get back to me in a timely fashion. They don't use foam or cardboard separators in their boxes.
Until they learn how to protect the contents of their boxes, I'd stay away from them... I suggested installing the system with the damaged muffler, and they could send me an undamaged one to swap-out and return. No dice.
They want to handle it like a shipping claim. I'm still waiting to see how Greddys' customer service department handles this.
I thought two weeks ago I'd be posting how good it sounded
Why are switching out the APS 3"?

The 3.5 inch APS test pipes, mated to the APS 3 inch exhuast would be a perfect and natural fit. Even at 9psi, the 3 inch exhuast will result in slightly more top end power. The only drawback is that APS exhuast will be louder....particularly at WOT. Personally, I love the sound of the 3 inch true dual....but its really personal preference.

If noise is a concern, and you have no plans for 550whp+...then the 2.75 inch Greddy EvoTT might be a better fit.

George, I have it and love it. It is def not quiet but not obnoxiously loud. It is a much deeper tone especially at idle and under moderate acceleration. I have it paired with Topspeed test pipes (I think 2.5" or smaller). Sorry I do not have a sound clip but Matt (ZU L8R) has one posted in the exhaust section. That should give you a pretty good idea. Good luck!

Prefer the rolled tips on the Greddy to the APS, looks lovely. Cant wait to hear my 3" APS, when the car fires up, which will be this week hopefully!

Also any more pics of EVOTT on car?

Thanks!

Foolish to even talk about adding an X pipe to the exhaust. You have these neato rasp eliminators called TURBOS. Adding an X-pipe would a be a true excerise in wasting money, time, and effort

I don't know about that, with test pipes (non-resonated) I had rasp. System I have now uses an xpipe, no rasp. And no resonators where the test pipes would be.

Does the greddy evo tt exhaust have the same piping set-up as the Evo II. I have an evo ii exhaust right now with the TN kit and I would get the tt if I didn't have to make anything custom pipe. Anyone know for sure?

Those EvoTT exhaust tips are pure sex. What's the diameter of the tips on it?

Can anyone please confirm if the evo TT has the identical piping design with the Evo 2?

Ron would be able to do that. He went from an evo2 to an evott. I think the design is the same just everything is bigger.

Zivman you are entitled to your opinion but I do not think its foolish as my "neato rasp eliminators called TURBOS" still make my exhaust raspy as hell. and I dont really care about your usual "anything APS makes is the best" comments im looking for information from people that have this exhaust or have had some expierance with it. I have always wanted a X pipe exhaust but dont like the style of the one available. I like the style of the Greddy so why not make it a X pipe design if I have the means to do so? Whats the worst that can happen....

Anyways if you have anymore negative comments or info please take it to another thread as I have read many of your post and dont really care much for your opinion.

Thanks.

From a driveabilty vs performance standpoint, the evo tt seems to be the best of both worlds. It's also one of the best looking exhausts on the market. I'm really looking forward to seeing/hearing it when I head up there for Z Fest.

Go for it, buy this 1300 buck exhaust. Take it to a shop and have them hack it up and put in an X pipe that will restrict the flow and quite possibly ruin the exhaust note. I do think this exhaust is nice, don't mess it up by putting in an X pipe. the EvoTT already has an H-pipe so putting in an X will again be a foolish exercise in wasting time, money, and effort. I am more than confident you will not have rasp with this setup

What exhaust are you running now that you have rasp?

First question is:
1.) WTF are you running a TT setup with that exhaust?

1. I'm not any longer, I have a new setup.

2. Power Enterprise recommends and in fact, is set up in stock form to run a stock exhaust. There is a specific warning about using free flow exhaust, cats etc. I put on the kit, sways, shocks and struts, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, all at the same time. As I was NOT getting a reflash, and NOT upping the boost, I felt I was pushing the danger area of overboost enough with test pipes. In fact, due to rasp and droning, I removed them and ran stock cats for quite a while. Then HF cats, then after the UTEC, resonated TPs, which were fine.

3. Not everyone is a millionaire or gets parts free, so some of us do things as we can afford them. Engine management came first before a TD setup for the logical reason (in case you don't understand the PE kit, in stock form it doesn't use a "tuning" solution, stage II for lack of a better word, ups the boost and adds a reflash. To put a TD setup on an otherwise stock Z with the PE kit without a tuning solution would be a recipe for disaster.)

4. Do you have any idea how many people with turbo kits ran NISMO or similar exhausts a year and a half ago? Why are you acting like it is so odd?

Does that clear it up? But the bottom line is, in my very limited experience, i.e., my Z, turbos with test pipes and NISMO = RASP. Which was the only point I was trying to make. I have had this discussion before, turbos do make a exhaust system quieter, but not to the level I was led to believe.
