I already have borla TD exhaust. I know i'll need a reverse y pipe to make it fit with the TN down pipe.
Apexi WS2 has a single 3" middle pipe. where the Borla is a true dual with 2.25" piping each!
do you guys think if I switch to Apexi WS2 i'll have better results with TN?
cheers.

I'm going through this right now too. I have the Borla and just got a TN kit. I love the way it sounds NA with resonated test pipes. MY favorite sounding exhaust by far. But I was wondering how it would sound with the turbo and if I was really going to lose that much power because its not a 3".
I'm not sure if this would be reasonable but what do you guys think of having a shop custom make an exhaust to mate up to the Borla muffler. And if considered would it be better to run a single 3" pipe or something like two
2.5" pipes?

Borla TD will definately gain more power. I had it before and dyno'ed it too. It gave me pretty good gained through out the power band. At idle and normal driving...it's pretty quiet, but when you hit full throttle, it sounds pretty good and not loud.

i cut the resonators off mine, and off a customers. sounded awesome, im sure you will like it. I got a ton of compliments on the sound back then, which I cannot say for the dual 3" i have now. One of my friends told me that now my car sounds like a late 90s V6 mustang with exhaust... after he said that, i can totaly hear it in there - except my RPMS climb a little faster
it definatly sounded better with the borla and cutout resonators.

After removing the resonators (and welding in staight pipe replacements of course) the car sounded exactly the same to me as it did with the resonators, just more volume. It had a classy sound with minimal rasp.
OH, it wasnt much louder. I still wished it was a TAD louder, but it would probably be perfect for most guys. It was by no means LOUD, and would NEVER get attention from the law or anything, it definatly wasnt loud. If anythign I would just say that it became audible, since it hardly was before.

WS sounds sweet with TN. It's not that loud, but not not conservative like the Fuji. It's not a 3" though, it's about a 2.8?
Plus you'll have to cut the Borla if you want to keep it.

Great info. thanks guys!
I think I'll go with a custom exhaust w/ dual mufflers. now I have 2 choices;
1. dual exhaust - 2.5", 2.75" or 3" piping?
2. Single exhaust with 3" piping.
which one do you guys think will work better with TN?
P.S, I'll be using APEXI mufflers which have 2.5" inlet, is it ok to bolt 3" exhaust piping to those 2.5" mufflers?
cheers
