Simple, get a UTEC, or FCON Vpro

The out of the box Greddy kit is a timebomb. It is a good hardware kit, and really shines with the right fuel and EMS. As mentioned, the UTEC or FCON is your best bet. Coupled with a return fuel system, blow off valve, and good tuning....400whp can be had easily with the stock block.

is it the e-manage in general, it needs a retune, or simply sucks all in all??

The eManage blue is very primitive. If you get the timing harness, diodes, and have it retuned, it would probably reasonable safe at mild boost. But its a compromise, and there are much better and safer way to tune the cars.

Believe me, I'm pretty much wishing I had gone for the UTEC right off the bat instead of trying to save a few hundred $ by going with the Emanage Ultimate.

For example I can't really guess why advancing timing with the EU resulted in loss of power, but advancing timing with cipher (via the stock ECU) resulted in nice gains. I think the stock ECU did not like the EU messing with timing and must have overcompensated by pulling it back. Not sure though.

It just seems that the emanage ultimate has very poor timing control. And the emanage blue has no business anywhere near a turbo kit.

Simply put - if you plan on going with the GReddy (which is an awesome base kit), then look into a better engine management. The UTEC is awesome for the $, and there's tons of support for it. If you want the cream of the crop, then go with the F-Con....

What Fuel return system do you suggest with the Greddy kit?

ahhhh... well i have the primitive e-manage (blue box) interfacing with the TN reflash on my TN set up. Im at 9.5lbs boost an it runs great.. smooth although its still a bit rich. I am currently just over 400hp at the wheels w/ about equal torque. (pretty close in numbers)

Anyway... im planning on moving over to the HKS F-Con set up. The greddy set up with your car just to start off with is not a bad thing.. its a good building block so that you are running with boost. then form there after you buy your components ie fuel set up.. make sure you get a larger radiator an well then you can move up in programming to see newer numbers.

Thats just my opinion.

I had the emanage blue...then got the emanage ultimate because the utec wasn't available yet...now once I decide whether or not I will build the motor in the spring, I will probably upgrade yet again to utec (Fcon is just soo damn expensive)

Default Emanage blue - get something else

I agree with everyone here who says the base Greddy TT kit is great, but the Emanage blue is junk. I WAS running 350 whp at 5.5 psi until a little backfiring problem caused by the Emanage created a much bigger problem. Lots of money later, I'm getting my intake fixed and I'm replacing the blue with the HKS F-Con IS since I can get all of the guage and OBD info on my double-din screen.
